Armillary Sphere

Historically, the armillary sphere was used by scientists and sailors as a navigation tool. This version of an armillary sphere is a Ptolemaic model rather than a Copernican model. Now that there are more advanced ways of navigating and learning about celestial bodies, some smaller armillary spheres can be found being sold online as a nice bookend or conversational piece.
