3D scan of a skeleton of an Arrau turtle (Podocnemis expansa). Arrau turtles live in the wetland areas of South America and are among the largest freshwater turtles in the world. The skeleton belongs to the Siebenrock collection of the museum.
This skeleton cannot be found in the exhibition halls. Another Arrau turtle is Number 73 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 28 of the NHM Vienna.
