Heritage drama in Kaunas. Citizens and authorities prevented total demolition of heritage villa. Villa Perkūno al. 11 was erected in Kaunas (Lithuania) in 1928. Its façade was characterized by the art deco expression typical of that time It stood out with a beautifully incorporated expressive tower. The villa is unique and in a memorial sense - this house was built and inhabited by Petras Ruseckas (1883-1945), a Lithuanian book smuggler, a participant in the independence struggle, a creator, writer and journalist of the Lithuanian Army. Vila designed by the famous interwar architect Aleksandras Gordevičius.
