This is a collection of technical drawings and design sketches based on the Estoplast factory product line. Estoplast (also known as Tallinn Experimental Plant Estoplast) was mainly producing lighting fixtures in Estonia from 1959 until it’s bankruptcy declaration (as a brand) in 1992. Most of the collected material consists of patterns, drawings and images collected from lamps produced and designed inside Estoplast. The collection is based on scattered information found on online marketplaces in Estonia and abroad, mainly focusing on the formet socialist republics. By translating this information back to the technical drawings and grouping them together in themes, I hope to explore the factory by rebuilding its archive into new themes and focusing forms dictated by the current commerce.
