More model informationWar memorial to the fallen doctors of the First World War in the former Vienna General Hospital. The sarcophagus-like stone block shows on the front a relief with a wounded soldier, to whom a likewise wounded doctor measures the pulse. Behind it is a cross. The monument, dating from 1937, was donated by the Austrian medical profession, and is intended to commemorate the more than 200 fallen doctors of the Austro-Hungarian army.
