Parthian period is from 247 B.C.- 224 A.D. Parthians were an Iranian people whose empire was based in present-day Iran and Iraq, under the Arsacid Dynasty (Arsacid dynasty). In comparison with the Seleucid Empire, Parthian Iran was a military state that integrated Greek, Iranian and Indian influences.
Details of Shami statue: Height: 1.94 m (6 ft 4 in). Width: 0.79 m (2 ft 6 in). Depth: 0.64 m (2 ft 1 in). Weight: 102 kg (225 lb.). Material : Limestone. Condition : Fragmentary, but fairly well preserved except for two fingers on each hand and feet that are missing.
