I really loved that visual novel and especially Samantha. I truly recognized myself in her.
The scene where she is in the lake is beautiful and I wanted to try and make something similar. In the end, although it is quite different, it was a nice exercise, I could try new techniques and I am happy about the result.

Very nice scene! Have you considered adding camera limits to prevent the camera from dipping under the water's surface?
