Automatic Bolt Action Mech Rifle v01

This model is based on the online battle royal game Supremacy, by Perth developers Ninja Syndicate. The setting of Supremacy is set in the year of 2149, so I wanted to create this futuristic version of a bolt action rifle. I’ve grown quite attached to the designs and mechanisms of these types of firearms. There is a powerful feeling behind how these marksmen rifles are used, with the reward being a devistating power. There’s this feeling I get when I see these types of guns in action in games that I enjoy, and it was that feeling I wanted to create for Supremacy.

This piece was made to hero the mechanisms of the bolt action rifle with additional parts to aid it in a futuristic world. The most important feature for me was that the casings had to eject from the gun. Initialy I wanted the gun to be powered by gas cylinders, though I realised that this gas would need to be controlled by a computer. This is also how the mech talks to this weapon.
