Axel was once a beetle-like warrior who was brave (or foolish) enough to stand the line against Dark Rhule’s first attack on the Bello Ream. Like many of the others, Axel was defeated by a cataclysmic spell conjured by Dark Rhule, his body turned to dust but his spirit remained. Dark Rhule grimaced at his defeated foes, then siphoned their left behind spirits to become stronger. Only a fraction of Axel’s spirit was siphoned before Galaxia intercepted Rhule with a fierce punch across the Dark Lord’s face. The cavalry arrived, and managed to ward off Rhule only for a moment. Gobi collected Axel’s spirit. Later on, he managed to give Axel a host, having crafted a natural suit of armour for Axel to control. He mourned for the loss of his body, but it didn’t crush his will. He thanked Gobi and returned to the battle.
