This is the second of seven cervical vertebrae in humans, the axis. Allows for rotation of the head (shaking head ‘no’).

Created as a demonstration model to go with the Atlas and Skull models in Dr. Regula’s Human Anatomy for Biology Majors lab (Fall 2016).
