The Type 26 frigate or City-class frigate is a class of frigate being built for the Royal Australian Navy. BAE Systems has offered the Commonwealth of Australia the Type 26 Global Combat Ship, recognised today as the world’s leading design for an anti-submarine warship.

It will be a multi-mission warship designed to support anti-submarine warfare, air defence and general purpose operations.
