Here’s a large statue I came across at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in Louisiana. It was a sunny day and they had a number of similar statues on the property, but only this one happened to be completely in the shade when I visited, so I decided to have a quick comfortable shoot (scanning for fun). I didn’t have a pole or anything with me, and because it’s much taller than I am, there are some holes in the mesh in the top of the head (as well as inside the top of the mouth). With a little work, I think those issues could easily be fixed, but overall I think the scan holds up well from most angles. I hope this is useful for some of you, and if you’d like to see more scans like this, just let me know and I’ll see if I can capture more of the statues next time I go.
