More model informationA circular well discovered during an archaeological excavation on Society Street in Ballinasloe in July 2020. Constructed from coursed limestone (C825), it was impacted on its southern side by a later drystone wall (C827). A section of a revetting wall (C824) abutted the N side of the well.The feature was preserved in situ following consultation with the relevant authorities.
