More model informationEarly medieval cross slab in the graveyard at Ballynakill, County Longford, Ireland.
Known as ‘Cluain Deochra’ this is traditionally regarded as the site of a monastery founded by St Ernan in the 6th century AD. Three cross slabs and two fragments (of cross slabs) have been placed in a wall built over the foundations of the east end of the former chapel/church.
This cross slab is rather weathered/worn for some details such as the inscription the model may be best viewed in “matcap” mode (selectable bottom right of viewer).
