Bark shredding eucalypt in the Cumberland plain

Large eucalypt tree at TERN’s Cumberland Plain SuperSite in New South Wales (Australia). The vine like ribbons that hang on the branches are actually remnants of the bark which this eucalyptus tree has shredded to remove moss, lichen, fungi and parasites.
