The Barrett M82 is a 12.7x99mm recoil operated, rotating bolt anti materiel sniper rifle developed by Barrett. Despite being named as an anti material sniper rifle, it is more commonly found in an anti-personnel role. The M82 has seen use by many countries in several major conflicts. It’s familiar AR-pattern pistol grip and controls, paired with it’s massive caliber make the M82 distinctly “American.”
