More model informationBronze Age hoard discovered by a metal detectorist, near Morecambe Bay, and excavated by DigVentures as pat of the HLF-funded ‘Barrowed Time’ project.
Bronze Age hoards are generally made up of one or two different types of objects, but this one has several different varieties including spearheads, axes, two pennanular wrist rings, complete arm rings, a chisel and a pair of horse harness ornaments. Most of the objects are in virtually pristine condition, with some even containing elements of the hafts. The variety is striking and very rare.
This is the first 3D digital model of a Bronze Age hoard in situ to have been made publicly available.
