More model informationThis native American piece was pecked out of a solid rock by hand. It was extensively used and was once painted red over white in a design that is apparently lost. This came from an estate sale and is unknown origions. This would be used for grinding grains, seeds, or nuts. It is about a foot tall and as wide. It might have been deliberately broken when the owner passed. Possibly a “California Yokut Mortar Bowl Native American Indian Grinding Stone Artifact”
