1815,1020.10 The Phigaleian Frieze

Carved marble block from the West side of the continuous frieze of the temple of Apollo Epikourios at Bassai. The West and North frieze show the battle between Centaurs and Lapiths at the marriage-feast of Peirithoos.

An experiment scanning in low light with an iphone 13, worked reasonably well. Will return and see whether I can scan the entire frieze.
