キンギョガイ/ Beche’s cockle

よく膨らんだピンク色の殻が美しい。この見た目が金魚に似ていることから名付けられたと考えられている。 軟体自体も赤みを帯びており、特に足の部分が赤いのが特徴。水深10～70メートルの砂底に生息している。

The beautifully inflated pink shell is striking. It is believed to have been named for its resemblance to a goldfish. The mollusk itself also has a reddish hue, with the legs being particularly red. It inhabits sandy bottoms at depths of 10 to 70 meters.
