More model informationThis reproduction of an early 17th-century Bermuda home was built next to The Carter House Museum in 2012 and 2013 by Director Rick Spurling and Head Carpenter Larry Mills. It was built with guidance from Jamestown Settlement joiners and historical architects to reflect the building techniques of the 1610s. I am using it as part of my Virtual Bermuda 1663 project, which digitally reconstructs the entire island in that year using historical maps and property lists, at the John Carter Brown Library and the University of Rochester’s Digital Scholarship Lab
