More model informationThis shelf was part of a china cupboard that graced the captain’s quarters onthe ship Betsy (44YO0088), located in the York River near Yorktown. Betsy was part of a fleet of vessels scuttled by the British in 1781. The aperatures securely held ceramic vessels in rolling seas. For details about the china cupboards of Betsy, see https://www.dhr.virginia.gov/spotlight-on-dhr-collections/spotlight-on-collections-high-tea-on-the-high-seas/ It was 3D scanned with a Go!Scan 50 on February 23, 2018. Because of the fragile nature of this conserved object, one side that laid against a flat surface was not 3D scanned. Courtesy of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources.
