The Eneolithic settlement of tell type from Vitănești “Magurice” is located in souther Romania (Wallachia region), in the bottom land of the Teleorman river. The tell has an oval shape, with a diameter on the upper side of 40x45m an at the inferior side of 60x90m and a height of 6.5m. Comparing to pther tell settlements belonging to Gummelnița culture from West Wallachia, it frames in the middle category. The archaeological researches begun in 1993 and initially had a saving character. Until 2011 it was reseaeched the last inhabiting level (level B1), being indentified nine burned structures, thus resulting a full plan of the settlement. It dates from the last developing stage of Gumelnița culture (4100 - 3900 BC).
