Equipment:
Same as “Pie” except:
- Two lamps for direct illumination (45W, 5500K),
- Canon EOS Utility (remote capture).
Method:
Subject was holstered in a card tube. Subject+holster placed on turntable, turntable rotated to achieve a camera orbit around subject. Then, subject rotated 45d within holster, second orbit captured … repeating for a total of 8 orbits.
Subject has a thin rim between its front and back, so it was of critical importance to capture that rim detail to assist the SfM. For this, depth of field was monitored and manually altered per photograph.
