BISHOPSTONE CHURCH, EAST SUSSEX

St. Andrews Church, Bishopstone, near Seaford in East Sussex. Reputedly 6th to 8th saxon century church (entrance porch and part of nave, though there is now thought it may be as late as 10th century) with 12th century tower. There is a 7th century (possibly) Saxon “tide dial” which marked Canonical hours (times of Christian prayer).
