Cranium and lower jaw of a black caiman, Melanosuchus niger, (specimen UF herp 53600) from the Herpetology collections at the Florida Museum of Natural History. Cranium is 59.60 cm long from tip of snout to the posterior end of occipital condyle, and 40.02 cm wide at the widest point of the cranium.
