There is a magical fish in the South China Sea that can change into black and white. When it appears, it brings storms and plague. A fisherman helped an old man carrying a scroll across the river. The old man read the fortune for the fisherman and warned him not to let a young man wearing a bamboo hat and a white robe enter the fishing village. A few days later, the fisherman met the man but sent him to a neighboring village. After the man left, a big black fish appeared in the river, causing a storm. After a while, a big plague broke out in the neighboring village, killing many people. He was a little complacent, but the plague still spread and their village was not spared.
