The blacksword is an unusual weapon of Dwarfish design. The blade is made from Skoldûr, a type of obsidian found only in the Wildlands. Only Dwarfs are capable of shaping it into blades. The weapon is used solely by Nightwitches. The unusually long grip allows for increased range, as it is also used as a weapon against the dangerous fauna of the Wildlands.
