Blatten Rapid Mapping Flight 19.05.2025

On 19 May 2025, the swisstopo flight service conducted a rapid mapping mission over the ongoing rockslide near Kleines Nesthorn above Blatten in the Lötschental (VS). The Rapid Mapping Team quickly delivered high-resolution orthophotos and oblique aerial images.

This 3D model was created using some of the oblique images to explore the potential of swisstopo’s openly accessible geodata. It provides a textured representation of the landslide area for visualization, communication, and hazard awareness.
