Permian reptile from the family of Pelycosaurs, that were distant ancestors of today’s mammals. Its fossils were found in North America. Secodontosaurus was closely related to the bigger and more known Dimetrodon.

Animal had more slender jaws, which makes lots of scientists think, it could be a piscivorous swimmer, cause pelycosaurus like Secodontosaurus or even Dimetrodon are often reconstructed to be able to swim and hunt in water.
