Dick J. VanderEyk, Bliss, 2008 Jack Point and Biggs Park, Nanaimo, BC Materials: Yellow Cedar**
Bliss is a large wooden carving made of yellow cedar. The sculpture depicts a seated person with a calm expression. A smaller person rests on the larger person’s back so both of their faces are close together.
Bliss was donated to the City of Nanaimo and was placed in its current location in May 2008. The sculpture is located near the first set of wooden stairs at Jack Point and Biggs Park.
