BMW M1is a mid-engined sports car produced by BMW from 1978 to 1981. It was designed as a homologation special to compete in Group 4 and Group 5 racing. The M1 Turbo was a turbocharged version of the M1, designed to compete with Porsche’s 935 in the Group 5 racing category.
