More model informationThis is a bodkin made of bone, which is a tool for piercing holes in comparatively soft materials. Said to have been found on fields on a farm by accident. During the clearance of an old burial mound, remnants of a waste heap were found preserved. The soil from this was spread out and supposedly contained this bodkin as well as servral other antiquities. Mixed settlement finds with elements from all periods from the Middle Mesolithic to the Late Neolithic, possibly also the Bronze Age. Dated to: 8000-500 B.C. Found in: Vik, Klepp, Rogaland - Norge (aprox 1915) Museums ID: S3781c
