Bone 'die', Skara Brae, Orkney

This unusual bone artefact was found during excavations on the Neolithic Settlement at Skara Brae, Orkney, Scotland in the 19th century. It resembles a die or gaming piece, but may also be interpreted as an unfinished bead.
