The bonnet macaque is a species of macaque endemic to southern India. It is diurnal, arboreal, and terrestrial. The male has a head-body length of 51.5–60 cm with a 51–69 cm tail while female is 34.5–52.5 cm with a 48–63.5 cm tail. It feeds on fruits, nuts, seeds, flowers, invertebrates, and cereals.
