A Opal Mining Pit showing boulders in a clay level ,the single level on the right, the boulders were dry and empty ,on the left you can see two clay levels with some dark ironstone boulders ,they were more silicified and mostly had gem opal colour traces and some with veins of gem boulder opal within. This open pit is now back-filled in compliance with the conditions of the Mining Tenure.
