Bouldnor Mesolithic Platform BCV

This platform was excavated by the Maritime Archaeology Trust in 2018 after investigations uncovered the deliberate nature of its’ creation. Each piece of wood was likely deliberately placed to create a useable platform in the marshy conditions of Bouldnor Cliff in the Mesolithic era of its occupation. This, accompanied by the other pieces of worked wood and lithic, showcase the breadth of use of the natural environment at Bouldnor.
