Brae of Revack 4

Visited 1 May 2024. The Canmore record shows three panels, which we located. This is a new panel. We saw one of the cups exposed, and lifted the turf to reveal the others.

The panel is on psammite bedrock under turf about 3m to the W of panel 3. The exposed area is about 1.8m by 1.5m. There are 17 cups spaced along the exposed area of rock. Two cups are to the N of a band of quartz where the rock is level; the remainder are to the S and sloping at about 30deg to the S. The two cups at the E end of the exposure extend into grooves in the rock.
