The most substantial surviving 10th century cross uncovered in during the 1867-68 building work at Brompton-in-Allertonshire parish church. Currently the far side of the sculpture is too close to the wall to photograph, but there are plans to move all the early medieval sculptures to their own area at the west end of the church.
