This small handmade juglet features a loop handle and simple but elegant design. The body is decorated with an overlaying lattice of three wavy lines dividing the upper and lower sections into quadrants, with a single dotted circle in one of the quadrants near the handle, which has the appearance of an eye. The juglet has a height of 79mm.
The juglet is on display as part of the ‘Cypriot Pottery of the Bronze and Iron Ages’ exhibition of the Hellenic Museum of Melbourne, and is on loan from the Peter Mitrakas and Mary Ann Savas collection.
