Stojan Batic (2 February 1925 – 17 September 2015) was a Slovene sculptor. Mostly a figurative artist, he is particularly known for his sculptures exhibited in many public places in Slovenia. Batic was born in a working-class family in Trbovlje, a mining town in central Slovenia and this is a model of one of his sculptures exhibited in his home town. It is a bronze figural group of miner family. Batic named it Daddy, come back! This 0.95 meters tall plastic is located near the entrance of Trbovlje Museum and stands on 0.75 meters high concrete pillar. It was constructed in 1960, originally part of the art equipment which Stojan Batic did for a ship called Trbovlje. But when the ship was removed from the traffic, the plastic was given a new location in 1974, when the museum building was renovated.
