More model informationThe bronze Yi was a ritual wash vessel used by the aristocracy from the Shang and Zhou dynasties to the Han Dynasty. It is closely associated with the ritual of washing hands and carries the dual value of ritual culture and craftsmanship. It was originally used as a wine vessel, and later gradually became a water pouring device and a water scooping device. After the Warring States Period, it was replaced by a wash basin and withdrew from the historical stage. Popular among the aristocracy, with exquisite craftsmanship (such as the Yi unearthed in Baoji, which has a unique shape and intricate patterns)
