More model informationPhotogrammetric model of the Brookhill Steam Ferry on the east bank of the Mississppi River near the state capitol. Extremely low water levels exposed the shipwreck in East Baton Rouge Parish. The boat was identified in the 1990s but more of it is exposed today. She was built in Southern Illinois in the late 1890’s as a ferry for the city of Baton Rouge to carry goods and people from Baton Rouge to Port Allen. Her and her sister ship broke loose during a storm in the 1920’s and both sank.
This is the decimated model of the original. This was done to meet upload requirements.
