Area of outcropping on Broom Ridge (OS name), Hunter’s Moor, near Ford, Northumberland.
This is one of several exposed areas of carved outcrop on Broom Ridge / Broomridge, just north of the escarpment. First recorded by Tate in 1865, it was later recorded as Broomridge 1 on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. There’s something of a cup and ring frenzy taking place on the stone, with 14 designs comprising of cups, rings, penannulars and linear grooves.

Model created in Sept 2019 from 10 raw stereo pairs captured by Kevin Malloy in July 2007 using a calibrated Nikon Coolpix 5400. There are one two issues with image exposure and the models surface due to coverage. Imagery formed part of NADRAP / ERA archive.
