More model informationMost likely young specimen of the Dyer’s Polypore (aka Schweinitz’s Butt Rot), Phaeolus schweinitzii. Fairly common root and butt rot of conifers (esp. Douglas-fir) that dyers use as a source of yellow, orange and brown dyes. Found in Pacific Northwest rainforest by the Shroom Scout near base of conifer.
