Bullet Casting Mold. Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site, Hubbardton, Rutland County, VT. Scanned with an Artec Spider 3D scanner in cooperation with and under the super vision of the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation. Bullet molds, such as this, were used to cast lead projectiles in the field. This particular example would have cast a smooth, pointed projectile. The exact age of this mold is unknown, but it shows characteristics of Revolutionary War or otherwise pre-Civil War examples.
