«Burlak» is a six-wheeled amphibious vehicle. The Vehicle was purpose-designed for setting a new world record — conquering of North Pole on wheeled vehicles under self-sustainment.
The AT Vehicle length is 6.6 meters, width is 2.9 meters, height is 3.2 meters, wheel outside diameter is 1.75 meters. The vehicle weight roughly amounts to 3 tons.
All the components and assemblies can be accessed from internal part of the cabin, so that the harsh polar conditions do not interfere with the AT Vehicles repair process. The sealed body design and the water propeller allow the vehicle to float and maneuver among the ice cracks.
The AT Vehicles design includes both standard reliable components and assemblies, and exclusive components. For example, some units were borrowed from APC and offroadster Toyota Land Cruiser, whereas the transmission and the transfer case were self-engineered.
The AT Vehicle cabin conditions for the expedition participants are comfortable.
