More model informationCreige Loisgte & Gaiseirnis make up the extreme north-eastern peninsula of the Isle of South Uist. immediately to the east of Rubha Ghaisinis. It has been important historically for its connections with the Kelping industry and has been extensively farmed.
This is a model of a dry-stone building about 50 metres above a small stone built quay in a sheltered cove. It is close to Loch Fada and the surrounding land shows division into small fields and enclosures, with some areas of rig and furrow for agriculture. It may also have been associated with keping activities.
