ESP Relieve cabeza de San Juan Bautista flanqueada por San Pedro y San Thomas Beckett, realizado en alabastro y datado en torno al s. XV. De autoría anónima y origen inglés, actualmente se encuentra en el Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas (Madrid). Realizados prácticamente en serie, estos relieves atienden a la demanda derivada del creciente culto a la cabeza de San Juan Bautista que se dió a partir del s. XIV.
ENG Relief of the head of Saint John the Baptist flanked by Saint Peter and Saint Thomas Beckett, made in alabaster and dated to around the 15th century. Of anonymous authorship and English origin, it is currently in the National Museum of Decorative Arts (Madrid). Made almost in series, these reliefs respond to the demand derived from the growing cult of the head of Saint John the Baptist from the 14th century onwards.
