Cabin Construction Sequence - Mohammad Valizadeh

This cabin is a part of the Jubilee Farms Eco-retreat, a project done by the architecture graduate students of Design Workshop Studio 4 at Parsons School of Design. This real-client project is located at the heights of the Blue Mountains in Jamaica. This cabin is one of the three main iterations of the final guest cabin designs, done by the student Mohammad Valizadeh. This design aims at implementing low-tech timber construction by the local community. The significant challenges were creating a fluid shape with straight timbers, flood-prone steep slope site, passive maintenance and air-conditioning, flexible spacing, sustainable materials, and avoiding customization.
